What is hollywood wildcat?

Hollywood Wildcat was a champion American Thoroughbred racehorse born on February 11, 1990, in Kentucky. She was bred by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai and trained by Hall of Famer, Neil Drysdale. Hollywood Wildcat was a striking, chestnut-colored filly, standing at 16 hands high.

She won her first race in October 1992 at Belmont Park, and after that, she went on to win several high-profile graded stakes races, including the Breeders' Cup Distaff in 1993 at Santa Anita Park. Her Breeders' Cup victory made her the first horse to win the Distaff without competing in any other graded stakes races that year.

Hollywood Wildcat retired in 1994 with a record of nine wins from twelve starts and earnings of over $1.5 million. She was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2010, recognizing her as one of the greatest fillies in American racing history.

As a broodmare, Hollywood Wildcat produced several successful racehorses, including multiple Grade 1 winner War Chant. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 25.
